Foundation Certificate in Deafblindness

This is a comprehensive introduction to age acquired deafblindess developed exclusively for HI+VISUK.

This course is aimed at anyone who wishes to understand about deafblindness. For those new to this condition which affects a large number of older people, in a population that is living longer, this training will provide an invaluable foundation of knowledge and skills. It will also raise an important self-awareness, enabling people to spot the signs and take action when their own sight and hearing worsens when they get older.

The foundation course is an excellent gateway qualification for anyone looking to undertake further training in deafblindness and age acquired dual sensory loss.
