Deafblind Support Worker

This is a level 2 OCN qualification. It is unique to HI+VISUK.

This training is aimed at those people who are engaged with deafblind people/older people with combined sight and hearing difficulties, in a supporting role, paid or voluntary, as a carer; in the workplace, a medical or social setting, either paid or as a volunteer.

The aim of the programme is to enable learners to develop a range of background knowledge, communication and guiding skills that will equip them to support people who are deafblind, perhaps as a result of the ageing process.
